The first joint military exercise between India and France named Fringex-23 has started in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The aim of this military exercise is to promote interoperability, coordination and cooperation between the armies of both the countries. In addition, joint humanitarian assistance and disaster relief is also on the agenda of the exercise.
In this joint military exercise, the armies of both the countries will set up a special joint command force. This joint command force will jointly conduct army exercises based on various combinations and aircraft. This military exercise will be held at Pangod Military Station in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala for two days.

Dr. L. Murugan, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting announced the 8th National Photography Awards in New Delhi. A total of 13 awards were announced at the ceremony. There were 6 awards each in the professional and amateur categories. The theme in the professional category was “Life and Water”, while in the amateur category the theme was “Cultural Heritage of India”.
These 13 awards also included a Lifetime Achievement Award and a cash prize of Rs 3,00,000. The Professional Photographer of the Year category and the Amateur Photographer of the Year category had one award each with a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 75,000 respectively. There were also 5 Special Mention Awards in Professional and Amateur Categories with cash prizes of Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively
